Troddenvale Cider Label & Packaging

Commissioned design packaging and label for Troddenvale Cider . This project has been so much more than building a pretty label, it’s been about honoring a vibrant soul, John Umberger. The inside of the shipping box is a backgammon board which is a nod to the fact that John would travel to friends with his navy backgammon board, always bringing the party with him. The wooden box has an apple drawing that is wood burnt into the surface with a note that says ‘For our friend John’ referencing the cider from Troddenvale Cider and the label is a painting of John looking off at the orchid in Warm Springs where this cider is made. Even the cider bottle is magnum size and is meant to be shared with friends. We also included a note card from John’s personal stationery. Every detail of this packaging is a nod to John and the life he lived. The proceeds of these bottles go to the JACU Foundation.
